perfect base for exploring charming landmarks and serene beaches
I had a wonderful stay, as the ambiance was welcoming and the staff attentive, making my experience really enjoyable. I loved being just less than a 10-minute walk from the stunning House in the Clouds, and a short 3 km stroll to the beautiful Aldeburgh Beach.

A solid location for those looking to explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The golf course presents a unique challenge and includes a fun mini-golf option for a casual day.
The overall ambiance feels a bit dated, with many areas in need of fresh paint and updates. Noise levels can be disruptive. I was woken up early by lawn maintenance and could easily hear conversations from adjacent rooms. The dining area lacks soundproofing, which turns meals into a clatter-filled experience. Pillows on the bed could use a serious upgrade. they felt flat and uninviting. While the food was decent enough, I found the service to be inconsistent, which affected the overall enjoyment of the stay.

Lovely vibe, but needs some TLC
Had a nice stay in a pretty spot, but the room was a bit gnarly. Found hair in the bath and dust everywhere, not great when traveling with kids. On a bright note, breakfast was delish, best I've had! The staff was super friendly, but I expected a cleaner room. Location was spot on though.

Our stay was lovely, especially with the staff accommodating my wife's dietary needs at dinner and providing a delicious breakfast the next day. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden and by the nearby boating lake. The only downside was that the room felt a bit sparse, but it didn’t really take away from our experience. 😊

We enjoyed a fantastic dining experience with freshly prepared meals and a delightful breakfast spread that was second to none. The bar had a charming atmosphere, perfect for evening relaxation. Our room, though comfortable, did show some signs of wear.

missingWrote a review on Aug 05golfing experiencebeautiful sceneryfamily-friendly environmentpoor sleeping arrangements
Had a lovely family stay at Thorpeness Golf Club where we enjoyed the stunning scenery, a fantastic round of golf surrounded by nature, and the kids loved the open spaces to run around. The team makes it easy for young golfers to start playing.
My children wanted a more comfortable sleeping arrangement. The camp beds provided were not suitable for our teenagers, making for a difficult night. Improving sleeping options for families would make a big difference.

The location in Thorpeness is perfect. The meare is right by the hotel, and it's easy to explore Dunwich and Aldeburgh. The restaurant offered excellent food. The breakfast spread was fantastic with lots of options. The staff delivered professional service, always attentive and friendly. My room was spacious and clean, though a little dated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for good sleep. the television didn't work, but that was minor as I wasn’t too keen on watching it anyway. One downside was the room's decor could use some refreshing, making it feel less inviting. The patio door lacked security, which was a concern. the ambiance was welcoming and made for a pleasant stay, despite a few areas that need attention.

A Perfect Golf Getaway with Great Company!
Our group of friends had an unforgettable stay, relishing in excellent food and a well-maintained course. The staff, especially Stevie and Laurie ‘Nuno,’ made us feel right at home. Don’t miss out on the bar's cozy atmosphere. it’s the perfect spot for post-golf cheers!

Great Family Escape with Minor Drawbacks
We had a lovely family stay, enjoying the beautiful views over the golf course. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcome. the glass doors to the room lacked privacy. Despite our noisy neighbors, we appreciated the clean accommodations. Try the breakfast. it's simple but satisfying!

missingWrote a review on Jul 01comfortable bedfriendly staffgreat locationcold bar arealimited menu variety
The stay was quite pleasant, with a warm welcome from the staff and a truly capacious room that had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It was nice having a lounge area to relax in after a busy day exploring the local attractions like the House in the Clouds, which is just a short walk away. I found the bar area a bit chilly in the evenings unless you were near the fire, and it would have been nice to see more variety in the menu options.

Beautiful views and great service!
The spot is super pretty with a golf course all around, and the dining room has a fab view! The food here? Yummm! the room was freezing with no heating on, which was a bummer. Staff were really cool and helpful, though.
